This edition of World Sessions is led by bassist, composer and bandleader Teun Creemers. His music is driven by a curiosity for musical traditions from around the world, bringing together African music, contemporary jazz and groove. With his band Naamu, he explores these musical connections through collaborations with musicians from different traditions, from West Africa to southern Morocco. Together with emerging musicians from the Dutch music scene, he explores new musical languages through improvisation and collaboration. Expect a dynamic crossover between different traditions, with plenty of room for musical exchange. After the concert, the evening continues with an open jam session.

Deze editie van World Sessions wordt geleid door bassist, componist en bandleider Teun Creemers. Zijn muziek komt voort uit een nieuwsgierigheid naar muzikale tradities van over de hele wereld, waarin Afrikaanse muziek, hedendaagse jazz en groove samenkomen. Met zijn band Naamu werkt hij vanuit deze muzikale nieuwsgierigheid samen met muzikanten uit verschillende tradities, van West-Afrika tot Zuid-Marokko. Samen met opkomende muzikanten uit de Nederlandse muziekscene verkent hij nieuwe muzikale talen door improvisatie en samenwerking. Verwacht een dynamische crossover tussen verschillende tradities, met volop ruimte voor muzikale uitwisseling. Na het concert gaat de avond verder met een open jamsessie.
